Jewish Eschatology
The end-times framework within Judaism that Jiang identifies as one of the converging scripts in the law-of-eschatological-convergence.
Key Elements
- Rebuilding the Third Temple - The third-temple-prophecy requires clearing Temple Mount (currently occupied by Al-Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock)
- Coming of Mashiach (Messiah) - The anointed king who will rebuild the Temple, gather Jewish exiles, and usher in an age of peace
- Ingathering of exiles - All Jews return to Israel
- Restoration of the Sanhedrin - The ancient Jewish high court reconvened
Active Pursuit
What distinguishes this from passive belief is that actors are working to make it happen:
- chabad-lubavitch explicitly works to “hasten the Messiah”
- The Temple Institute in Jerusalem has prepared vessels and garments for Third Temple service
- Red heifers (required for Temple purification rituals) have been imported to Israel
- Political figures aligned with these movements hold power in the Israeli government
The Sabbatean-Frankist Dimension
Jiang introduces a heterodox strand: the sabbatean-frankist-tradition. Sabbatai Zevi (17th century) and Jacob Frank taught “redemption through sin” - that creating maximum chaos and transgression would force divine redemption. Jiang connects this to the accelerationist logic driving current events.
Convergence Points
Jewish eschatology converges with other traditions at:
- The Third Temple - Also required by christian-zionist-eschatology for the Second Coming
- Jerusalem as center - Contested by islamic-eschatology
- War of Gog and Magog - Involves Russia (Third Rome) and Iran
