MAGA Hijacking Pattern

Core idea: When the neoconservative-movement couldn’t defeat the populist energy of the MAGA movement from the outside, they hijacked it from the inside - replacing “America First” with “Israel First” while keeping the red hats. The latest iteration of a centuries-old technique: if you can’t beat the host, infect it.

The Original MAGA (2015-2016)

Trump’s 2016 campaign was authentically nationalist:

  • Criticized the Iraq War as a “fat ugly lie” in the heart of Bush country
  • Said the US spent trillions in the Middle East while roads and bridges crumbled
  • Wanted peace with Russia
  • Called for securing the border, not policing the world
  • Echoed Pat Buchanan’s paleoconservative “America First” tradition

For the first time since Buchanan in the 1990s, the dissident right, nationalists, and the forgotten working class had a champion.

The Hijacking Mechanism

Trump’s fatal weakness: he had no loyalist elite to staff a government. No think tanks, no farm team, no nationalist personnel. So he outsourced his transition to the Heritage Foundation and the Federalist Society - and got the swamp:

  • Jared Kushner - Lifelong liberal Zionist with deep ties to Netanyahu
  • Mike Pompeo - Rabid Christian Zionist who fell for Scofield theology
  • Nikki Haley - Darling of the military-industrial-complex

The Russiagate Box

To prevent Trump from making peace with Christian nationalist Russia (which would undermine the globalist system), neocons and intelligence agencies fabricated Russiagate:

  1. Created a fake collusion investigation
  2. Made it so any peace overture to Russia would trigger “he’s Putin’s puppet” screaming
  3. Forced Trump to take a harder line on Russia than Obama ever did
  4. Convinced him to send Javelin missiles to Ukraine - laying groundwork for the proxy war

A domestic policy hoax was used to force an “America First” president into a neocon foreign policy.

Key Insight

The MAGA hijacking follows the exact same pattern as the neocon takeover of Reagan conservatism in the 1980s. The host changes, the parasite adapts.
