Trump Third Term and Political Continuity of War Agenda

Original Claim

For the American imperial plan to succeed, it requires something Jiang calls “continuity of agenda” — Trump must secure a third term (or equivalent authoritarian continuity beyond 2028) because the plan is too long to survive a change of government. Without continuity, the entire Technate-building strategy collapses if Democrats win in 2028. Trump’s method: electoral fraud, cheating, rigging elections.

Context

Introduced in Game Theory #21 as the second of three requirements for America’s imperial strategy to succeed (the other two being a national draft and an AI surveillance state). Jiang argues the 10-20 year timeline for containing China via choke-point control cannot tolerate a presidential transition in 2028 — Democrats would either continue the plan (having no alternative) or disrupt it. Trump’s survival strategy is not democratic — it is electoral manipulation.

The claim is notable for how Jiang frames Democratic complicity: even if Democrats win, they have no alternative plan and would likely continue Trump’s strategy. But Trump himself won’t risk the uncertainty — hence third term.

Evidence For

  • 2026-05-28-trump-third-term-direct-statement — Professor’s most explicit on-record statement: “I predict Trump will get a third term.” Uses Trump’s death as the primary falsifiability test for his entire worldview.
  • No external verification yet. Claim is forward-looking (2028 election horizon).
  • Context: growing normalization of Trump challenging electoral norms (January 6, ongoing election fraud claims)
  • Democratic complicity in war vote (Congress war powers resolution engineered to fail) suggests bipartisan alignment, making peaceful transition less disruptive than Jiang implies
  • Historical precedent: FDR won four terms during WWII; wartime presidents have sought continuity before
  • 22nd Amendment limits Trump to two terms unless repealed or circumvented
  • SRC-033 (Game Theory #21) — primary source for this claim

Evidence Against

  • 22nd Amendment is a substantial legal barrier; circumventing it would require Supreme Court ruling or constitutional amendment
  • Jiang acknowledges “he’ll cheat” as the mechanism — not institutional route
  • High domestic polarization makes election manipulation at scale difficult to conceal
  • Democratic complicity in war suggests the plan might survive without Trump personally
